Week 19

This has been a nice, relaxing week. The days have kind of all blurred together but it has been so nice to spend time with my parents. My mom is fun to talk to and my dad always tells me stories and makes me feel so good about myself. I am sure he knows and sees my flaws but he makes me feel so loved and amazing. Both my parents are so kind and tell us what good parents we are and they love my husband and my kids and they help us out and really just build me up emotionally. They have always been so supportive of me and it is such a blessing to spend time with people who just love you so much and know exactly who you are.  Monday I did laundry, some light cleaning, my body pump class and some game playing. I also took Lily to get a hair cut (love having other adults in the house!) but they wouldn't let me stay in there. I wandered around Bath and Body Works while I was waiting but I told the lady to cut off six inches and she only cut four so that was kind of annoying. Lily's ha...

Week 18

I wonder if anyone is getting tired of reading about our pretty mundane lives. If so, I'm sorry and I understand because I am the one living it! Monday I did my body pump class online and it felt good. I taught a piano lesson, did laundry, and lots of cleaning, as well as a grocery list. We had a fun family night where we talked about prayer and played Spot It for our game. Tuesday we did some more cleaning to get ready for my parents to come. I seriously was working all day long. First in the house and then I headed outside to mow the lawn and weed and other such things. I was so tired that night but it felt good. I took Curtis to a soccer try out and got to sit and read for an hour and watch him play and it was fantastic. That night there was some concern about my parents coming so they decided to delay their trip a bit while they did some risk assessment.  Wednesday we went to the park to play with the Ainas and Rays and then we spent all afternoon swimming at the Ainas. It w...

Week 17

Well, this week was okay, but a bit more stressful and less fun. Monday we cleaned and did laundry and all of that life stuff. I did a body pump class on zoom from my gym and that felt so good. I love lifting weights and feeling stong and I wasn't even too terribly sore the next day even though I haven't lifted at all since March. I was super tired that day because Josh and I stayed up way too late watching Hamilton Sunday night. It was fun to see and I really enjoyed it. Tuesday we went to pick up books from the library (and there was great celebrating in my house) and then we took Lily to dance. She did a week of summer dance classes taught all by alumni and she really enjoyed it. While she was at dance we went to Lowes and then BJs to get a bunch of stuff we needed. That night we had a relief society activity and Lily and Josh had a training meeting for her class presidency. Wednesday. Hmmm....I honestly can't remember what happened on Wednesday. Lily and Josh had yout...

Week 16

Image
Can it really be week 16 of all this craziness? Well, it has been a pretty good week. Monday we went to Gilbert Run park and it was so pretty. There is a little lake there and it is wooded and has two playgrounds. The kids loved the zip line, I loved being by water and trees and we had fun hanging with the Rays. It was hot so they didn't last as long as normal but we were there for about four hours before we came home. I took Emma and Brandon to the pool while Lily and Curtis rested and got rid of their headaches. Tuesday we cleaned, did laudry and I taught my last three piano lessons for awhile. I decided to take July off so that will be a nice break for everyone. We went to the pool for an hour and it was fun for them to swim while I actually sat and read. Curtis had a primary activity while I sat outside with Lily who was mowing the lawn for the first time on her own. She only needed help twice and I was so proud of her as I watched her tackle a difficult job with resilence....
