Good week

Image
It was a good March week. Monday was normal with laundry, cleaning, piano lessons, dance and family night. It was St. Patrick's day but we had had a very busy week before and I'm not Irish and I don't like green that much so we don't get too into it. I usually at least wear my shamrock socks but the only people I saw were my family and the Wiests so I didn't feel the need to dress up.  Tuesday I had a ministering interview. Nancy and I are new companions but she was unable to come last minute so it was just McKenzie and I and we had a great talk. I shared with her all about my sisters and then I'm not sure what happened but I started unloading on her all of my hurt from when people who have been assigned to me haven't ministered to me (which has been a lot). It is so hard when someone is assigned to be your friend and doesn't make any effort; it makes me feel very unlovable and then it is hard to like myself when it seems no one else does.   What a week. Last week was pretty standard with all the things plus I went to the temple to do initatories. I had hoped to do a session too but it didn't work out so I was at the temple for 45 min and drove for 3 hours but it was nice to go. I was lonely so I called a few friends and my sister but no one answered so I listened to General Conference all the way up and back. Lily went on a band field trip on that Friday and had a good time performing up in Baltimore at some teacher's conference. Other kids had early dismissal and dance and practice so I made rolls for a memorial service and then spent the afternoon driving around the county.  That Saturday was Lily's last driving instruction and also dance rehearsal and then studio company all attended a piano recital and Curtis had practice and I went to Jeanne's baby shower.  It was so fun to hang out with Michelle's family and eat yummy strawberry cupcakes and laugh and talk and try to help the older ladies with ...

It has been a pretty quiet two weeks. Lots of dance, band rehearsals and play practice for the most part and church responsibilities. Josh had a meeting from 9-12 up by the temple two Saturdays ago and then I encouraged him to go to the temple since he was right there. He was grumpier than I thought he should be when he got home but he was just lonely from being by himself all day. He is gone a lot for church things and I guess I assumed that since he is always with other people (meetings or interviews) that he couldn't be lonely but it is nice to know he misses us. I have recognized that even though he was busy as a bishop, at least he was at church and I could see his handsome face. I am pretty lonely at church since he is hardly ever there and I miss being with him.  Lily has been busy traveling the stake to invite all of the youth to youth conference and it has been a good experience for her but a lot of driving around. Luckily our stake youth leaders are wonderfully help...
