Costa Rica Days 6-10

 On Saturday morning we got picked up at our hotel and driven to Tamarindo, which was about four hours away. This drive was very beautiful at the start as we were winding around Lake Arenal and the volcano but once we got out of the mountains and headed west, it got flat and pretty dry. As soon as we got there, Emma and Brandon and I changed into our suits and headed on the shuttle to the beach. Our hotel was up on a hill so it had an amazing view of the ocean but we had to take a shuttle to get down to it. We had access to this nice beach club that had chairs and a restaurant and towels and a pool so that was awesome. We went and played at the beach while Josh, Lily and Curtis went and took a surfing lesson. The waves were pretty lame but they still had a good time and then they walked down the beach and found us and we all had dinner watching the sunset on the beach. Costa Rica Days 4-5

 Josh loves the volcano and a lot of people told us how lucky we were that it was clear and we could see the top. It was actually clear every day we were there so we felt super lucky and Josh took a million pictures of the volcano or him and the volcano. It became a family joke how much he loved the volcano. The next day we got picked up and taken to this place further up near the volcano called Sky Adventures. This is where Josh and Curtis went zip lining. I had considered it but there was no way the younger kids were going to do it and Lily was nervous too so they went off zip lining and the rest of us went on a guided hanging bridges tour. Our guide was super nice and good at finding animals hiding in the trees. We were at a high elevation and up in the canopy of the trees so that was cool, although a bit terrifying too.
