Why Dancing with Daffodils?

I've decided to start a blog. This is not going to be a diary though; this is an outlet for me to write. I love writing and haven't done any since I had children. I decided it is time again but since I'm not ready to jump back into freelancing or working for a newspaper or magazine, I'm going to blog. You are welcome to read it and I hope you enjoy it but my goal is not to write something that others enjoy reading. At this point, my goal is to write what is on my mind and just enjoy the process of writing.

 My very favorite poem by William Wordsworth is below:

I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high e'er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils;

Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.
 Continuous as the stars that shine
And twinkle on the milky way,

 They stretched in never-ending line
Along the margin of a bay:
Ten thousand saw I at a glance,
Tossing their heads in sprightly dance.

The waves beside them danced; but they
Out-did the sparkling waves in glee:
A poet could not but be gay,
In such a jocund company:
I gazed--and gazed--but little thought
What wealth the show to me had brought:

For oft, when on my couch I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood,
They flash upon that inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude;
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils.

 I've had many moments like this in life, including seeing thousands of daffodils along the English coastline; the kind where you have a happy or moving experience but then later when you think back on it, it continues to make you happy or bring you peace or joy and is even sometimes more meaningful once you've had time to reflect on it. That is what this blog is going to be for me. I want it to be filled with life experiences that I've had the chance to sit down and write about, reflecting on what wealth they've brought to me and then looking back and feeling as if I'm dancing with those daffodils, or enjoying the moment in a new and beautiful way. I love the imagery of me dancing among thousands of daffodils, which are my favorite flower, and that just makes me smile, but the deeper meaning is the idea of looking back,reflecting and being filled with pleasure.
