Camp week

The next Monday I took Emma and Curtis to the doctor for the check ups and they were both thrilled to have their heights be official. Emma is now 5'4 and she grew four inches this year. Curtis is 6'1.5, which puts him a half inch taller than his dad, which thrilled him to no end. Grateful for healthy, growing kids!

I also dropped Lily off to Michelle's to head off to camp. She had a great week! She loved being a leader and had lots of great experiences. The only thing she complained about was how hard the service project was but she said she kept telling herself it was service so suck it up. :) So proud of that girl.

Curtis left for camp early Tuesday morning and he also had a great week. Since two of his good friends just moved, he was a little bummed but he made new friends in the stake and had a great time. He went on a hike, did knot tying, played field games and even shared his testimony at the testimony meeting.

Josh went to St. Louis Monday and Tuesday and then worked Wednesday before heading up to camp that evening. He spent the night with the young men and then Thursday afternoon headed over to the young women's camp. He never got to go to camp as a youth and has only ever really seen ward camps so it was a good experience for him to see what real camp is like and he said suddenly all of my stories made sense. He had a great time with the youth and while he misses spending time with them, he was thrilled to just be able to participate and have no responsibility for camp. He got home at 12:15 am that night so he could work Friday.

Meanwhile, Emma and Brandon and I were hanging out. We went to the library and the pool and grocery shopped and I went to the gym. We had the sister missionaries over for dinner and took it easy. Friday both kids came home from camp and we did laundry and got packed up for our beach trip!
